Wow, before I started I had to go back and see when the last time I blogged was. Before Christmas!?! what the heck! You would think life got in the way or something. But than again, mom always said if you don’t have anything good to say do say anything at all 🙂
Life is the Rawlings’s is a hoppin. Logan passed his drivers test on Jan 20th! First time baby!!!! I was so excited for him at the same time nervous as a mom. Surprise to many Logan is a good driver. Forgot how often they ask for the car when they are a new driver. He comes up with the strangest things to want the car for. So if he would by chance come by to visit, chances are he wanted to drive. I am sure he will cover a majority of the city ten times over in a day when the mopeds can be taken out.
Dan’s hip is doing fabulous! Went back to the doctor last week (A week early) and the doctor was impressed! He did release him to go back to work. He then had to go back to get a new DOT physical due to the new hip. Our family doctor has usually done it in the past but now apparently Dunham has changed their policy and now all DOT physicals need to go through their doctor which is ThedaCare at Work. Long story short, the NO wouldn’t give him a DOT card due to Dan not being able to produce a print out from his card on his sleep machine. Why? because he doesn’t and hasn’t used it for years. So he had an appointment yesterday with the sleep doc and all is well. Got the paper he needs for the NP for his appointment today. I would think all is well, at least for a short term DOT card. Anyway we will see what she has to say this afternoon. Dan also went to his third pain doc yesterday. Dr Singh from Nigeria WI. He comes here a couple times a month, published books in his field and TONS of papers were published in medical books. I was impressed! He gave us hope that he can get Dan’s pain taken care of. Need to redo some steps the previous doc did but that is okay. We have hope now. As they say, the third time is a charm. He goes the 14th for his first injection. We pray that this is our answer so that Dan can go back to leading a normal (whatever that is) life without pain)
School is challenging for me this semester in many ways. I am actually thinking about dropping one of my classes as I found out I don’t need it for either of my degrees. So I figure why waste the time in that class when I can put that time towards another in homework. All I care is that I learn something and keep my grades and gpa above a 3.70.
BTW! ONLY 6 more weeks til Summer!!!!! Lets see if Phil is right!
Til next time
